£2,720 by way of a Community Grant issued to Friends of Cowan Park (AKA Douglas Yates ex deputy leader of ERC) and then passed onto Barrhead Gala Committee.

What was it Vincent said "Our grant rules do not allow for such a mechanism"

Was the GCC's membership manipulated in order to achieve sufficient numbers to re establish what was in effect a moribund organisation for the benefit of one individual?

Indeed has the membership continued to be manipulated in order to keep this office bearer in a position of authority....? Much more to follow.....

Alex Hewetson, ERC Community Engagement Officer wrote...

From December 2012 and up to August 2013 the Community Council failed to gain a quorum and was to all intents and purposes moribund, hence no minutes. A caretaking exercise was maintained by the Community Planning Team, with an expectation that the Community Council would regenerate at the September 2013 four-yearly election cycle. This was indeed the case and it now maintains a healthy membership.
