Thanks for this. However it is a disappointing response.

The statement was made by the Council Leader, not just any individual, at Full Council Meeting in public.

I believe that you have to understand the background in order for you to properly deal with and make a decision regarding these agenda items

I don't think it unreasonable, in fact if the democratic process is to contnue to function, then at Agenda Items 11 and 12 at the upcoming Wednesday 10 September 2025 Full Council meeting you should ask and seek answers to these questions

- What work was carried out and what were the result/conclusions?

If there has been work carried out and considerations undertaken regarding Vice Chair Senior Councillor appointments, then you should be aware of these

if Council Leader has not followed through their commitment,

then you should have this information before dealing with and making a decision regarding agenda items 11 & 12.

It is important for the democratic process that councillors avail themselves of all the facts.

Your point regarding the Agenda is a bit of a red herring is it not?

When Agenda Items 11 & 12 are introduced by yourself there is nothing to stop you adding that before discussion the Leader of Council will give an update regarding his statement and commitment regarding Vice Chair Senior Councillor appointments made at full Council meeting on 29 June 2022
