Do we need more parties? Should the Tories have changed their name when it was suggested recently?

I have to say it was easy for me to change the minds of people I know with kids at school age and get them to vote differently. Some hadn't seen the leaflets about the school places!

As we know there would appear to be a number of people who view this site on a regular basis, not for the banter, the information or any other positive reasons.

They are simply looking to find something wrong that they can complain about.

That is why, we the executive have decided that this forum will change............. not a jot.

There has never been anything improper about how the posters or the administration of the web site have operated.

I have made one alteration for the sole purpose of assisting those monitoring us from afar, Eastwood Park and now Stirling.

These monitors appear to me to be so hell bent on finding something wrong that they have blinkers on when it comes to the site.

They, in my opinion do not have the knowledge base with regards to the modern communication medium, and some may say that they are dinosaurs.

When I post my opinions I use the word 'I' or 'me'

This would appear to confuse some of these dinosaurs and they cannot differentiate between 'admin' posting and 'tom' posting.

So in order to make it very simple for them, when the Gorilla posts, it is me speaking to you.

When the wee faceless man posts that will be one of the site administrators...... note the use of the sssssss.

I hope that this will clarify it for those sitting with pen and paper looking for faults.

CercP, I don't think we need more Parties, what we need is a change in the STV system for local elections which has neither encouraged more people to come out and vote, nor made voting and counting any quicker, nor made representation any better. On the plus side, Nicola Sturgeon has already indicated that the SG will look at this and I would fully support her in that endeavour (although I don't think AV will be any better in that regard).

Glad to see the site up and running again, fair miss it when its down. The only source of accurate news in ER.

Welcome back again....... I do like the new site, very nice, just hope 'they'will now leave Tom and all of us to get on in life and enjoy this website as they say in america
