No further statutory consultation on planning, licensing and education

Our understanding of the legislation, once again indicates that this is illegal.

WHAT are ERC proposing.

The cessation of any and all free lets of Council premises.

We have these things in East Renfrewshire called libraries and anyone can book the community rooms for free, for any kind of meeting.

7. Casual Vacancies on the Community Council

Where a vacancy arises which does not result in the number of COMMUNITY
COUNCILLORS falling below the minimum number as specified in paragraph 5
of the Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils, and at least 6
months has passed since the last election, the COMMUNITY COUNCIL may, if
it considers it to be desirable, agree to:-


(b) the filling of a vacancy by co-option with voting rights to a maximum of
one quarter of the total membership of the community council as
governed by paragraph 7 of the Scheme for the Establishment of
Community Councils.

I'm sure TCC could easily find the money. If they promise not to spend it on solicitors or orchards.

The council does not have the power to de establish community councils under the 1973 act, if there is a dispute about constitutions it is perfectly clear under the act that this dispute must be referred to the Scottish Government.
