Inspector Campbell Crawford has just recently been appointed to the role of Community Policing inspector for East Renfrewshire.
An officer with more than twenty years in the service Inspector Crawford commenced his career in Thames valley Police and served there for some five years before transferring to Strathclyde in 1993.
Having worked at Partick Clydebank and Dumbarton in a number of varied roles he was promoted to Sgt at Greenock in 2000.
Whilst at Greenock the officer completed the roles of Patrol Sgt, Duty Officer and Community Policing Sgt where he achieved noted success and won awards for his innovative approach.
In 2008 he was promoted Inspector to G Division and has just recently taken over the reigns of community policing in East Renfrewshire from Inspector Kate Jackson.
Inspector Crawford commented, "I am delighted to be in post and I look
forward to working with the whole community of East Renfrewshire. I see my role as continuing the good work started by Insp. Jackson and delivering a quality service to the elected members, community groups and members of the public. |
